2 tb Butter
1/2 ts Paprika
1/2 ts Dried thyme
3 lb Chicken
2 Garlic cloves
1/2 ts Dried basil
1/2 ts Cayenne pepper

Heat oven to 400^. Melt the butter. Mince the garlic. Combine the
melted butter, the garlic, 2 ts. salt, the paprika, basil, thyme and
cayenne. Brush the entire chicken with the butter mixture and put it
in a roasting pan. Roast until done, about 1 hour 15 minutes. Tend
with foil if the chicken browns too much. Let stand for 15 minutes
before carving. Serve with the pan juices.
