A classic chocolate chip cookie recipe. Calls for
the REAL ingredients--none of that yucky lowfat
stuff! Make some wonderful memories for your kids
and/or grandkids--make them some REAL cookies,
that taste the way they should!
1/2 cup (1 stick)
butter
1 cup powdered sugar, unsifted
1 large egg
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
6 oz chocolate pieces
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Heat oven to 375° F. Grease
cookie sheets. Beat together butter and sugar until
smooth. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Combine
flour, baking soda
and salt. Mix into creamed mixture. Fold in chocolate
pieces and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased
cookie sheet. Bake in 375° F oven 10-12 mins.
Cool on rack.
This recipe claims it'll make
48 cookies. In my experience, if any cookie recipe
claims a yield like that, you can count on getting
about 12 DECENT-SIZED, big cookies out of
it!
